Dr. Richard Wynn is recognized as an expert in management of diabetes, chronic pain, obesity, and is skilled in performing minor office surgeries. He has served as mentor and preceptor to many medical students and residents and serves as adjunct faculty in the Department of Family Medicine at UNC Chapel Hill.

FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Derrick has been associated with recovery since 2003 and has co-authored published articles in both the Journal of Addiction and Offender Counseling and Counseling Today Magazine. He has worked full-time as a psychotherapist since 2012. His tenure in this field of work expands from regional rehabilitation and treatment facilities to practicing full-time in his own private practice.

​He has presented at multiple industry related seminars and workshops and has been guest speaker at numerous multicultural symposiums. He has been a guest instructor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte as well as guest lecturer at Clemson University, Jacksonville University, the University of Texas San Antonio as well as numerous community and professional learning institutes. His work also includes research and lectures concerning human trafficking, trauma, and suicide among LGBTQ adolescents.

Hannah G Wagner, MA, LCMHCA, LCASA, NCC

CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Hannah Glenn is a member of NorthStar Clinical Services's therapeutic service team. She specializes in addiction counseling and play therapy with adults, adolescents, and children. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy alongside person-centered tenets to best assist her clients.

Hannah received her Master of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Counseling with concentrations in Addiction Counseling and Play Therapy. She also received her Bachelor of Arts degree from UNCC in Elementary Education.

She is recognized as the chair of the board at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Drug-Free Coalition, where she assists with the organization's Alcohol Purchase Study as well as outreach to adolescents and their families about teen drug use. She is also affiliated with the Charlotte Rescue Mission.

Tammie Cooke, MA, CSAC, NCACI

MANAGER OF CLINICAL INTAKE & OPERATIONS

Tammie received her Master of Arts degree in Human Services with a concentration in Marriage and Family Counseling from Liberty University. She has previous experience working with women and children in crisis, as well as rape crisis counseling where she provided support to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Tammie also has nine years' experience working with the substance abuse population in an inpatient setting.

​She is a certified substance abuse counselor and a national certified addiction counselor. She is a member of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wingate University and Liberty University. She is also a recipient of the H.K. Helms award for academic achievement. Tammie is honored to work with those that have found the courage to fight their addictions.
