Aftercare (OP)

Aftercare or Outpatient is a vital component of maintaining sobriety and should be considered a type of continued treatment.  This level of care is extended to clients who successfully complete intensive outpatient, but is for a shorter period of time.  Since recovery is an on-going process, Aftercare is mandatory and considered part of the total IOP package of services. 

 

Within the curriculum of Aftercare at NorthStar Clinical Services, clients participate in group processing activities, serve as on-going mentors, and continue sober skill development.  Meetings are once weekly and run for one and one-half hours.  Participation in Aftercare is for all IOP clients attending NorthStar as well as individuals seeking ongoing support.
